• Photo 13:  The inevitable interview of Toby Tanser by Eddie Coyle.  They must have been talking like this multiple times already, but this is the first time that Eddie popped the big question, "Have you won any marathons before?"  Answer:  "Twice.  One of them was in Iceland.  The time of 2:27 was slow, but it was a tactical race in which I beat Hugh Jones by one second.  The other one was in Finland, when I was on my way back from another marathon in Turkey less than a week before."
• Photo 14:  Jose Lasalle said, "This is my first long run this year.  I did not feel so good after two loops, so I stopped.  I just called my wife to bring the kids to the park."  What did she say?  "Oh, you've finished already.  You must have been really fast too day."

• Photo 21:  Audrey Kingsley looks up at the person who is calling her name.  Who is that?  It's never the photographer, who works surreptiously.  Who then?  Who else but Mary Wittenberg, saying hello to everybody!?

• Photo 23:  Sunday in the park with Hank Berkowitz and Brooke Sessions, and their son Jake.
• Photo 24:  Hank Berkowitz says, "I live in the 'burbs now so I can't go to gyms to work out.  Instead, I get a lot of weight exercise by pushing Jake around in a jogger."  He added, "The website allows me to keep up to date on the club."

TECHNICAL NOTE:  The alarm clock had no discernible effect again, and has been summarily fired ...  Thank God this was a long race so that not all was lost.  However, we did make up the lack of volume with high quality shots.
