RUNNING CLUBS
The Central Park Track Club is not the only
running club in the New York City area. We would never say
things like "we are number one we are the best we rule we kick
butt ..." The fact is that people join running clubs
based upon a multiplicity of reasons (geographical location, frequency
and scheduling of workouts, competitiveness, coaching, facilities,
club dues, membership size, demographic characteristics, history,
tradition, fiscal stability, financial aid, multisport activities,
institutional affiliation, cultural, spiritual and linguistic
