As the story goes, Graydon Pihlaja won this race after a sleepless night of pacing and repeating to himself, "I am a warrior, I am a warrior," over and over again.  Tom Phillips and Mike Trunkes placed 3rd and fourth, and with Rick Shaver and Peter Downs demolished the rest of the field for the team title.
