1998 Turkey Classic

These post-race photos were taken by Alan Bautista.  Since Alan was in the race himself, there were no action photos.  That is a shame because there was an exciting sprint finish by Luca Trovato and Alan himself, but that is another story ...

Photo 1: On the victory stand, Yumi Ogita accepted her winner's prize.  When the officials began to hand out the trophies, Yumi exclaimed, "No!  I don't want another trophy!  I want a turkey!  I have to feed my family!"  In this photo, she is beaming because she got a trophy AND a turkey.

Photo 2: Here are a couple of other award winners: Giuseppe Petracca standing by dad Carmine Petracca (2nd age group, 9th overall) and Jud Santos (7th age group, 19th overall).

Photo 3: A couple of tough strong men (Tyronne Culpepper and Jud Santos) have volunteered to escort Yumi Ogita home with her loot.  Nobody is going to take it away from her.
