01: As if the orange jacket is not sufficiently
eye-catching in the dark, Audrey Kingsley dons a party
hat.

04: Stuart Calderwood and Stacy Creamer
formed the New York City Y2K Committee, phoning people
all over town to make sure that they comply with the request
to do the Midnight Run and come to their place afterwards.

05: Eve Kaplan on the left and Stacy
Creamer on the right, with someone from another running
club wearing the wrong colors! What happened to the turquoise
and pink!?

06: Even Fasil Yilma showed up, although
we can't tell from this photo if he is rollerblading.
Technical note: God bless those
orange jackets, without which no one would be identifiable.
Peter Gambaccini reported the
following in Runner's World Daily: "Third prize of $500
was taken by Noel Comess, a baker, and Amanda Hesser,
a 'New York Times food writer,' who came as a champagne bottle and
a champagne glass." While it is standard for money-winning
runners on our club to give the coach a symbolic $1, it is not clear
whether or not coaching is relevant here. Here is the photo!
