MILE 1.5

the last meter."

07: Behind the lead pack were our three Masters:
Peter Allen, Stuart Calderwood and Alan Ruben.

today."

POST-RACE ACTIVITIES (PART I)
- Photo
81: After the race, the NYU running coach Ramon
Bermo explains to his NYU student Bridget Strand how
great biking is. Shortly after, Bridget went up to introduce
herself to NYU cycling coach G'mo Rojas and wanted to
know when she can start ... By the way, although Ramon is
injured and therefore out of the Great Floridian Ironman,
he did volunteer today, "If the team needs someone to run
1:18 today, I'll be willing to do it."
- Photo
82: Alan Ruben said, "Hold everything
else. Please take a picture of my two sons Sammy and Joey,
because it is time for my family in the UK to see them."
- Photo
83: Why are the kids so happy? Because they
get to go to the Staten Island Zoo after the race!
- Photo
84: Marisa Tiamfook and Etsuko Kizawa
enjoy the bagels.
- Photo
85: The person in most demand today G'mo Rojas,
the collector of the raffle tickets. Even though we had
an insider today, the two grand prizes did not go to any of our
team members.
- Photo
86: The overall female winner's trophy goes to Warren
Street's Kim Griffin and is accepted by someone who really
doesn't look quite like her ...
- Photo
87: This is a photo of Margaret Angell moments
before she physically assaulted our photographer.
- Photo
88: This particular photo of the women's team awards
ceremony had to be taken over because Margaret Angell said,
"I got bagels in my mouth!" You can find the final
official version published on the NYRRC website. However,
our friend from Warren Street seemed to think it was a great picture.
- Photo
89: Here is another picture that would never have
made it to the NYRRC website since the owner of those iced knees
would never have permitted it ...
- Photo
90: Here around the medical tent area, Audrey
Kingsley was not the one who landed there today.
- Photo
91: Our winner Toby Tanser was besieged with
requests for autographs and photographs with fans.
POST-RACE ACTIVITIES (PART II)
- Photo
95: Non-racers of the day --- Yvonne Callan-Brito
and Sidney Brito. Although Yvonne would have been
one of the favorites to win today, she just ran the Hartford Marathon
yesterday in the heatwave.
- Photo
96: Our photographer gets really close up to J.R.
Mojica.
- Photo
97: Why are we showing a picture of people in the
wrong color uniform here? Because this is evidence that
the second person on the left may have violated a New York City
ordinance. (Technical note: We are not sure that federal
property is exempt)
- Photo
98: Following his vocation as the diversity photographer
of the Central Park Track Club, Toby takes this photo of West
Side Runners' commander-in-chief Bill Staub. And
who is to the left of Bill ... ?
