01: Intrepid veteran Sid Howard reviewed this
race: "It was cold, wet and miserable. But that would
have been okay, except for the fact that I brought out my old shoes
for the weather. It turned out that my feet have grown bigger
(or else the shoes have become smaller), so my feet were in pain
most of the race. And then I had to go to work immediately
after the race."

02: The cold-, wet- and miserable-looking
Toby Tanser reviewed this race: "The race was
delayed by 30 mins. I did not even bother to warm up, as I
sat in a car till race time and ran to the starting line.
After I passed 4 miles, I was farway in the lead and actually began
lapping people(!!) on the course that was mounded with people walking
to collect scoring the nine races needed to qualify for the New
York City Marathon. By the third lap, I could hardly get by
people on the narrow path. Thus presuming myself to have a
big cushion, I slowed and cruised, taking caution on the downhills.
Imagine my surprise when going over the bridge, someone arrived
on my shoulder. 'I'll out kick him,' I thought, and ran relaxed
to the last 50 meters with him on my shoulder ... then wam bam zoom
--- he was gone and I was badly beaten! Amateurish to say the least!"

03: And who is this Central Park Track Club person?
And why couldn't he just stay home like the rest of us ...?
