The Canadian National Age-Group Triathlon

PRE-RACE ACTIVITIES

01: Rise and shine, sleepy head ... there's such
a beautiful cityscape around you ...

NATATION

04: Much of this race involves loops. This
may be great for the spectators, but a bit boring for the competitors.
Even in the swim, you swim, you get out of the water, you run
a few steps, you go around the landmark tree and you jump back
into the water to swim again. This is Shelley Farmer
in the red about to go around that tree.

05: Finally, Shelley Farmer gets back on
land into the bike phase.

area
- Missing Photo: The wild 'melee'
at the start of swim ... that would have been quite a scene ...
VELO
- Photo
07: As for the bike course, it is still go out one
way, make a 180 degree turn and come back again, and again.
This is Shelley Farmer in red making the turn.

08: Lauren Eckhart making that turn too.
COURSE
- Photo
09: The run involves running down one side of the
street, making a turn and coming back down the other side.
According to Shelley Farmer, the only good part is that
you get to look carefully at the face of the person that you want
to chase down.

10: Lauren Eckhart running up and down too.
POST-RACE ACTIVITIES

her participation in the Canadian Championships, and a proud Canadienne
at that.
