LONG DISTANCE RUNNER WORKOUTS

The long distance runners on the Central Park Track Club meet twice a week under the supervision of Coach Tony Ruiz. On Tuesdays, the workout is a speed-oriented track workout. On Thursdays, the workout is a strength-oriented road workout.

The workout specifications are distributed via email on the evening before. To receive workout details email Alan Ruben at aruben@montran.com to join our mailing list.


Track Workouts

On Tuesdays we meet at East River Park, at East 6th Street and the FDR Drive.

 


Road Workouts

On Thursdays we meet at the Daniel Webster Statue (at the intersection of West 72nd Street and West Drive inside Central Park) at 7:00 pm. Thursday workouts occur every week, with rare exceptions (such as Thanksgiving Day) that will be announced here. There is nowhere to store personal items, so please do not bring any bags with you.
